i created the template for my front cover 








I than made equal divides in the page to ensure my images and text are aligned perfectly . i also changed my background to pink as i new it was going to be my background colour as its bright and will grab customers attention

i than added the mast head and subtitle to my magazine. i than placed my image i cropped the background out earlier 
i than created my puff by placing a white circle and writing win on top of it. and this stage i also started to change some of the fonts and select the colour of the font i wanted to use
I than added my barcode to ensure i have met all the codes and conventions i also added the issue number, date and slogan.

i created the correctly size pages for my double page spread and created the layers
i than started off by by placing my image on the left page of my magazine as I know that double page spreads normally contain large images. i than started to add a text box on the right side for the body copy i did one large text box so its in columns and all flows correctly

I than typed in my body copy into my text box. i also added a large pull quote going through the text box to grab the readers attention i also added a pull quote coming from Sam it also has a different colour font to make it stand out and easier to read . i also added an image of a Spotify scan code to make the magazine more modern. i than also added page numbers to make sure it has all the codes and conventions needed

suitability review

Overall, my product has a very modern l to it which will make my product a big success for the client. this is because my Target Audience was defined to be of a younger age group who would appreciate this type of design  My magazine has a very fresh feel to it and as my Target Audience includes Students studying at University they are going to appreciate a design like this and want to read it because of the fresh, vibrant and modern style 

However, I do feel as if there is room for improvement. My magazine has quite a vibrant Front Cover which appears to be very positive and bright to someone who is browsing the magazine and making the purchasing. however in my double page spread when talking about how sam made his band go viral his impression looks more serious than happy this could be conflicting to what the body copy talks about

leaning outcome 1 (U21): be able to generate ideas for an original media product based on a client brief

from the client brief i am required to create some sample pages from the first edition of the magazine I am also required to showcase the music in Hertfordshire. the client has also told me i need to have an online and print copy of the magazine the final requirement is to include a double page spread and a front cover . because I need an online copy and a print based copy i will need to make i have 2 different quality images for the magazine this is because an online copy image only  need 72 dpi as that would look good on screen however the print based one will need 360 dpi as the print based will need to be high quality. I would make my magazine appeal to younger people (16-26) as I think a lot of the older people wouldn't enjoy the newer genre of music as they would probably prefer classical music or older musicians like Elvis. because my target audience is young adults i would have a brighter coloutr scheme as it would attract them more.   Idea 1: i would call th...
