TASK 6

pre production documents
mood board

visualisation diagrams (sketches) of front cover and double page spread

font styles
I chose this font as I believe it stands out and is very unique is also thinks its very suitable for the pop theme and it is also suitable for my target audience s there aged 18-24 and this font would appeal to them. it also gives a modern feel to the magazine so it meets the client requirements .
i used this font for my double page spread pull quotes and headline as it really stands out and its also suitable for the pop theme. its also really suitable for my target audience as it looks abit like its been spray painted which is a modern art form and alot of teenagers like it. its also very easy to read making sure everyone can read it easily.

colour scheme

i used this colour scheme because its really modern the colours are also really vibrant this makes my magazine stand out on the shelves as my competition's magazine such as Hertfordshire life and BBC music all have very dull front covers. this will make mine much more appealing to my target audience.
i also chose these colours as my font colours will be either black and white and they will be easy to read of these colours. another reason i chose this colour scheme is that the colours don't clash making it more appealing.

contingency plan

legal issues
There is going to be potential legal issues with my magazine including the Copyright Law which is going to have an effect on the content that I include on my Magazine. This will mean that I need to ensure that I am using appropriate images which I have full permission to use either by asking the original creator or by it being published free.

I will also need permission from the model to use their images on my product and also to use the location for filming purposes.

4 legal and 4 ethical issues
individual legal and ethical issues
Trademarks
A trademark is a type of intellectual property which is usually a recognisable sign, design or expression and usually represents a brand or product that will usually set them aside from their competitors. for example of this is the Fast Food Chain KFC with the 'finger licking good' slogan all being Trademarked in order to prevent others from using these terms or being too similar because of this  I need to ensure that when creating my product and when writing the body copy that I do not include any trademarked content without permission this shouldn't really be an issue as most of my content will be created by me and I will get permission of the band member I'm interviewing however when creating my slogan i need to make sure its not similar to another brands slogan otherwise i could receive fines.

copy right
copyright protects peoples product/work being used and sold as someone else because of this i will need to ensure I get permission from the original creator content for any product i use. this will be important for when I use my fonts. Because of this i will make sure I always receive permission before using the products from the original creator. otherwise they could sue me and I will have to pay a large sum of money. I will make sure i have permission to use all of the medias such as photos when creating my product, In order to protect our self i will make the model sign a consent form to use there images and I will also make sure my team fully understand copyright when they create my products to ensure theres no legal issues

ASA
The ASA regulates the content of adverts by enforcing its advertising codes. because of this i will need to keep this legal body in mind when advertising my magazine as there are laws to advertising and if we break them we could have to pay a large fee. for example false advertising could break this rule. so i need to make sure there is a giveaway in my magazine as on my puff it says "WIN" if there's no prize we could be sued for false advertisement. I will also make sure my advertising teams are all up to date with laws and avoid breaking any. we also need to make sure any advertisement's for my magazine are not offensive

Libel
i need to make sure whatever i type up in my interview is actually said by the person I'm interviewing this is because if i post something that's not true that could damage there reputation. I am also going to talking about musicians and its important i don't spread false information that could possibly damage the persons career. if i break these rules i could be sued

data protections
I will have some data collected on people who are involved in the creation of the magazine and people who subscribe to the magazine as i will have information such as address. so I need to ensure that GDPR is followed and I do not break the Data Protection Act. because if the data gets leaked the people who are involved could be danged because of it especially if its a famous celebrity's address and issue's like this could destroy the magazines brand. In order to prevent this happening I will keep all private data in private storage and not places like the cloud as that could easily be hacked, I will also shred any data that is written on paper or printed and disposed in a confidential way so there's no chance of a data leak

Ethical issues
I will need to make sure the person i am interviewing does not say anything that could cause an ethical problem for example sexism this is because it could lead to the magazine being "cancelled" and lose  a lot of respect from customers. I should also make sure my content does not single out a group of people and involves everyone. I will also make sure that none of my content is a offensive to a group of people.
because of this I will ensure all my content is equal to everyone and does not include any topic that could be seen as offensive or discriminatory. I also need to ensure my magazine is not discriminatory to people out side of my target audience age groups otherwise this could be an ethical issue and cause damage to the magazines brand
