task 4 and 5
why does your colour scheme relate to the pop genre?
on many other pop albums and magazines they use similar colours like these as they are bright and grab the readers attention, they are also used a lot in pop music videos.
you talked a lot about the print version will there be any difference in the online version?
there wont be any difference between the two this is because the online version is made so anyone can easily access it and some people prefer to have a hard copy so that's why we have the print version.
in terms of making money you said you are going to give magazines to supermarkets is that to sell?
yes we will give some to supermarkets to sell as they are busy
who going to make the magazine?
I'm going to need a photographer to take professional pictures of my mode, i will also need a writing editor to make sure there's no spelling mistakes and everything is written neatly i will also need an advertising to advertise my magazine and i would also need a graphic designer to create my actual magazine.
why is your magazine different to your competition?
none of my competition are purely based on music in Hertfordshire as Hertfordshire life is my main competition but that doesn't talk about music.
what would your magazine look like?
it will have a picture of the 3 main artist featuring in my magazine with the lead artist being in the centre of the magazine to grab the readers attention and on my double page spread it will have a singular artist with his Spotify scan code on the page
what kind of the content is the magazine going to contain?
the magazine will contain a Q&A with artist in a interview style it will also contain a leader board with recent song released in Hertfordshire ranking with the most listens. it will also include locations on where to listen to people perform
what body font are you going to use as you have only told us one font?
i would use bauhaus 93 as my main body font
Following on from the feedback
one piece of feed back I received was my colour scheme does not relate to the pop genre. i disagree with this feedback because during my research pop magazines use the pink and blue colours on the front cover a lot because of this i am going to do the same so my magazine is distinctly a pop magazine. And i don't have any direct pop competition in Hertfordshire my magazine will still stand out
another piece of feedback was i should make the online version and print version different however i disagree with this because we don't spend money on printing or distributing so it will be easy to keep a profit. And its also better for the environment so we want more people get the digital version.
another piece of feedback i received was they didn't like the font. I agree with this feedback because i realised the font looks boring and wont stand out to my target audience because of this I changed my font completely, I changed my main font to still time as it looks much better and suits my target audience much better as it stands out from my competition who use more boring fonts.
another piece of feedback I received is I shouldn't give shops magazines to distribute for free otherwise how will I make money. I agree with this because I wont have enough online orders for the magazine to be successful. because of this I will still give magazines to shops to distribute however i am going to charge them. this is because believe that giving my magazine to the shop would be really good as basically everyone goes to the shop and because of my magazines design it will easily appeal to my target audience who are shopping so they could end up buying the product.
the final point of feedback on my pitch was that the front cover would be good and suitable for my magazine however i disagree with this and decided to change it to a singular artist so it stands out and the audience can easily see who the Q/A will be about so there not disappointed after purchase meaning I would get repeat purchases
